RED
Marissa Roth believes that the challenge of photographing in color is that the resulting image has to be about much more than just the color. The composition and content both have to be strong. In many paintings, an element of red is the color that unifies all of the other colors, and in turn, supports the composition. Artists from Leonardo Da Vinci to Paul Gauguin employed this subconscious visual technique. Roth created a promotional piece ten years ago, entitled, “RED”, which inspired this collection of images.
